August ATC Swap: Favourite Colours

This month’s ATC swap theme was ‘Favourite Colour”. My favourite colour is purple (I have a purple kitchen!)

ATC: Colour

I embossed the stamped image with white embossing powder and then coloured the background using Gelatos.

I made a second version using a pink coloured embossing powder and applied the purple Gelatos similar to the  previous card.

I hope you like them

Male Birthday Card

Today I have another birthday card, I’m getting lots of practice with male cards …. I have three sons and a grandson. This card I made today is for my DH (I left it late …. today being his birthday!)

I hope you like it, the colours have not shown up well, the shades of green are better in real life. I used the ‘Happy Birthday to you’ stamp  …. its my favourite birthday sentiment

Engagement card …. take 2

IMG_3018

I made another engagement card today, this time for my son to give to his best friend on her engagement. (He is in Darwin and unable to come down for the party)

To make this I used a block stamp and embossed it using white embossing powder, I then used distress ink to highlight the embossing. I then embossed another piece of cardstock and applied the same distress ink but with more intensity and cut out the words to give dimension to this card. I decided not to put a sentiment on the card, I think it says it all. The close up view shows a few imperfections with the embossed words. But I decided to keep the card as is, because I only have an hour to get to the party 🙂

Engagement Card

IMG_2988

Sorry, I have been lacking inspiration of late, hence the lack of posts!

I need a card for a close friends daughter’s Engagement party. I wanted to make a simple clean card

I created this card using my 1″ punch and a Sissix Die. I was inspired after searching the web for Inchie inspiration, and I came across a site by Ellen Hudson that has a whole section and gallery dedicated to Inchie art. (Web address: http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/inchie_inklings/ )I was aiming to use a layout from their gallery, but ended by making my own layout …so I’m  hoping my mojo is back!

I hope you like this card
